GRAPESPacific Coast Fruit Company has 14 cases of Merlot grapes (36 lbs, $42/crate) and 5 cases of Zinfandel grapes (36 lbs, $33.75/crate) grown in Lodi, CA, and available for pickup at their will call office in Portland.

TOMATOES – Certified organic slicing and canning tomatoes are available from Willamette Organics LLC in Silverton, OR. Number ones are being sold for $1.50/lb and number twos for $1/lb.

QUINCE and MEDLAR – Located in west Portland, Mardin Orchards is offering quince and medlar, both excellent fruits for jamming and preserving. They’re offering their quince for $.80/lb and the medlar for $1/lb. Orders can be reserved in advance and delivered with a surcharge. Respond to their Marketplace post for more information.

Marketplace Updates

Your meat market.

Katahdin SHEEP are available from Carol Gomes Dorper for $2/lb on the hoof. Delivery is available to the USDA processing plant in Dayton, OR. Their ranch harvests about 50 head per year with each lamb weighing in at 110 – 130lbs at around 5 to 6 months. Send them a message through FoodHub and reserve your lamb today.

Raven Feathers Farm in Oakland, OR, is selling young Pekin DUCK for $3.25/lb. Each duck’s average weight is approximately 3lbs and comes in a whole carcass with skin and neck in tact. Giblets are bagged separately. Delivery is available at several points from Roseburg, OR to Portland along the I-5 corridor.

Free-range, whey finished Berkshire and Duroc PIGS are available from Worden Hill Farm, LLC for $4/lb hanging weight. Hogs are slaughtered at Dayton Natural Meats – USDA  licensed facility – and delivered to a Portland butcher. Direct delivery is also available within 50 miles of their location in Dundee, OR. October and continue through it November for their fresh-picked,
organically grown Willamette Valley quince. Their minimum order,
delivered to the Portland area, is 20 lbs at $2/pound with reduced rates

are the largest grower in Oregon, and their fruit is a great product for
innovative cider makers, distillers and bakeries.
